การศึกษาวิธีทางเขตกรรมที่ช่วยให้อ้อยทนแล้ง Thai Agricultural

Experiment was conducted to compare 4 method of Cultivation practice for cane production under drought condition at Banrai Sugar Industry Farm, Noen Kham district, Chainat province in 2009. The experimental design was RCBD with 5 replications, there were 4 treatments, i.e.:1)soil mulching by rotary plow after using ripper in interrow, 2) soil mulching by only rotary plow, 3) planted jack bean and 4)no cultivation (control). The results showed that soil moisture underground moved upward into root zone of cane when ripper was used in interrow and followed by using rotary plow for soil mulching. Four land preparation methods for sugarcane planting in late rainy season were compared at Suphanburi agricultural research and development center between January 2011 and February 2012. These method were conventional tillage (planted by men and furrow with irrigation), Department of Agriculture recommendation method (planted by cane planter and applied water), stripe tillage (plowed by ripper/rotary, planted by cane planter and applied water) and minimum tillage (plowed by ripper/rotary, planted, planted by cane planter and applied water between the row of last ratoon). Soil salinity is a major problem in the use and management of agricultural in Thailand. Especially in the northeast, those have the lack of natural fertility. The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of nutrient management and no-tillage system on rice growth and yield of rice. Experimental design was a randomized complete block with 4 replicates comprised 5 treatments: 1) Control (Conventional tillage and recommended fertilizer application) 2) Conventional tillage with sunn hemp incorporation 3) Conventional tillage with rice straw incorporation 4) No tillage with sunn hempmulching and 5) No tillage with rice straw mulching.
